At an election rally in Butler Pennsylvania, Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old student who had allegedly donated to the Biden presidential campaign fired shots at the 45th Presi dent which miraculously pierced through his right ear. The shooting resulted in the death of one Corey Comperatore, who was the former fire chief of Buffalo Township. This incident has resulted in a strong sympathy wave that can spill doom for President Biden’s failing election campaign.
While many democrats have offered support and their best wishes to Trump, what must be investigated is the reasons for such political instability which has plagued the United States ever since Biden was elected in a landslide in 2020. Democrats for years have portrayed Trump as a “threat to American democracy”, often comparing him with tyrants like Hitler. Biden, in a recent election campaign speech, called out Trump for “being a threat to everything America stands for”. Furthermore, the new debunked Project 2025 narrative which states that a Republican victory on November 5 will result in the creation of a dictatorship has increased the political radicalization of the American left. Crooks may very well have been someone who was radicalized by such leftist propaganda.
Democratic Congressman Bennie G. Thompson’s staff Jackqueline Marsaw posted the following on her Facebook account “I don’t condone violence but please get you some shooting skills so you don’t miss next time ooops that wasn’t me talking”. The irony is that the congressman himself tweeted and offered his best wishes to Trump. Twitter users were quick to point this out which resulted in the Congressman eventually firing the said staff member.
Furthermore, Thompson once again came under heavy criticism online since he along with his party had tried to strip Trump’s Secret Service security detail, just months before the assassination attempt. Harry J Sisson tweeted the following just weeks before the assassination attempt:- “According to the Supreme Court, Biden could now send in Seal Team 6 to take them all out. He could send in the military to take out Trump. He has “immunity” for official acts now!” These statements have sparked discussions and debates online and have made several people believe that it could very well have been the democratic party that was behind this failed assassination attempt.
Furthermore, there were clear lapses in the security detail of the former president. Firstly, the shooter at the rally was seen acting suspiciously near the event, and security was alerted to keep an eye on him, and this info was passed to the Secret Service according to CNN. Secondly, The security detail kept Trump on stage for an extended period where he was able to face the crowd where the shooter was trying to shoot him.
Thirdly, The shooter made it to the roof with a full rifle kit as reported by two witnesses who saw him and say they were telling the security detail. Lastly, – A standard sniper-spotter team tasked with securing the event waited for approximately 42 seconds after spotting the shooter, allowing him to take shots at Trump. This security breach has resulted in people calling for the resignation of the United States Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle to resign and appear and testify before House committees.
What does this mean for President Biden’s election campaign? Well, to put it in simple words, it may have put the final nail in the coffin. President Biden has already been facing calls to quit the Presidential race from across the political spectrum. Several Democrat leaders such as Mike Levin, Brittany Pettersen, Eric Sorensen, Scott Peters, Jim Himes, Marie Gluesenkamp Pérez, and Ed Case among others have called upon the Presi dent to give up on the Presidential race after his disastrous performance in the CNN Presidential debate a few weeks back. Furthermore, Bi den’s apparent cognitive decline was demonstrated at the NATO summit held in Washington where he referred to Volodymyr Zelensky as President Putin. In an interview, he referred to himself as the first “black woman” to be the President. Furthermore, The Democratic Party’s wide lead over Republicans in Black Americans’ preferences has shrunk by nearly 20 points over the past three years.
Democrats’ leads among Hispanic adults and adults aged 18 to 29 have declined rapidly resulting in Democrats’ holding only a modest edge among both groups. Democrats were at a similar level with the Republicans among men as recently as 2009, and among non-college-educated adults as recently as 2019, they are now in the red with both groups. Two-thirds of registered voters who watched the debate said Trump outperformed Biden Before the debate, 55% of the same voters said they expected former President Donald Trump to turn in a better performance than President Joe Biden. Many predict that Biden may lose several swing states and may very well lose the white house in November. said president
